According to the Representative Church Body in Dublin, the old registers for the Church of Ireland Carnew exist from 1808 to 2000.
Does anyone have access to these records? I am specifically looking for "Hopkins" entries.
However there is a footnote saying the "records for 1749-1806 were reported missing in 1950" but that "some coverage is available through RootsIreland under the subject "Ardolinis"..
Does anyone have access to these records?

The paid site, Roots Ireland, has COI birth records from 1808-1900, marriage records from 1809 - 1900, and death records from 1806-1900. If you tell me the names you are searching for, I can take a look for you....there are quite a few Hopkins when I searched that surname.

No need for sorry...I believe that some of these Hopkins at "Tomacork+" or Carnew RC are related to the other Protestant Hopkins. So thank you!
However, when I searched the Nat Library site I could not find the entry for Simon, not the one for Eliza in the original images..
In regard to the Church of Ireland Parish of Carnew, I have an old transcription which contains about 50 Hopkins baptisms. Can I send this data to you on a speadsheet so you can compare notes? I don't completely trust the old transcription.
One item is a Sept 28 1845 baptism for a daughter (Catherine or Elizabeth?) of Joseph and Elizabeth. It looks like he was a "surgeon" but I suspect it was "sawyer". Again could be a transcription error?
PS Did you find anything regarding the "lost" pre 1800 records?
