Hello-

We are visiting Ireland in 2025, and hope to discover more precisely where in Meath our ancestors came from.

From Ancestry, I have Thomas Boylan b. 1796, baptised Meath diocese: Meath, at Ardcath and Clonalvy on 23 Mar 1796. He emigrated and married in the U.S.

Thanks for any info you can add!

  • Sorry for the repeated record...my computer went a bit wonky!

In the Tithe Applotment Books there was a Laurence Boylan, as follows:

Boylan Laurence Moylagh,Meath Moylagh Meath 1826

  • Thank you very much, Patricia!  I did not have the siblings or the Tithe Book information. I suppose the Laurence in the Tithe Book could be either father or son (how many Laurences can there be?).  It helps to have the Moylagh town name.  We will add it to our travel plans along with Ardcath.
