Hi, I am researching Kildysart workhouse for an MA thesis. I have come across the Troy family in the records and I was wondering if I could use the photos of Annie and Ellen that you have posted, in my thesis? Would there have been any stories passed down through the family of their parents and their time in the workhouse?

My great grandmother, Annie McCormack (nee Troy) was born in Kildysart workhouse on December 26th, 1879, to Patrick Troy and Mary Troy (nee Donohue) who were both inmates as far as I am aware. She married my great grandfather John (Jack) McCormack on April 7th 1902 in Ennis, and went on to have ten children, including my grandmother Agnes.
Annie died on October 27th, 1950 in Corrovorrin, Ennis.
In the profile picture, Annie is second from the right and her sister Ellie is on the left, Ellie was also born at Kildysart workhouse.
