Bridget Foran Cain was born in 1834 in County Clare (likely in Quin). She immigrated to the USA with her sister (likely Mary Foran) around 1850. She eventually settled in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin where she married Martin Cain (born 1833 in Kilnoe, Clare) and had a large family. She lived in Wisconsin most of her life, but passed away in Chicago, Illinois on 8 March 1925 while living with one of her daughters.
Some family history suggests that one of her brothers was killed for "being too educated and able to read" while in Ireland but we have no corroboration of that.
Her death certificate lists her parents as Michael Forkin (likely Foran) and Ellinore Hasset (likely Eleanor Hassett).
