Catherine McMahon was born 3 April 1864 and chrstened 7 April 1864 in Tulla, Clare, the daughter of Patrick McMNahn and Mary McMahon nee Meehan. Birth reguister entry says father lately gone to Queensland, thoughthis is not known whether it was Queenstown ( Cobh) or Queensland, Australia. Olde siblins were John ( 1861) and Mary ( 1862- 1942) Catherine emigrated to napier, New Zealand and married James Quinn on 22 June 1887. It appears that theyhad no children. When Catherinbe died in 1945 she eft her estae to teh local Waipukurau Convent.
