Catherine Quinlivan was born in the Tulla area about 1806. Her marriage to Thomas White was not recorded in the Tulla marriage register and it is possible that this couple may have married in Clonlea (O’Callaghan’s Mills/Kilkishen) as there were Quinlivan’s residing in Liscullane. Catherine and Thomas White resided at White’s shop in Tulla during much of the 19th century where Thomas White where Thomas was a publican and ran a grocery shop. The White family had at least 3 children: John, Mary and Bridget. Catherine White died in 1892 and is buried in Tulla graveyard with her husband.

Hi Martin: thanks for the post. Is there any reference to Tulla in your family tree?
