I really want to say a bit thank you from myself and my cousins, we have been searching for information on Patrick's parents for a while now. I only on Friday evening last found the death record of Cormack with the witness Matthew as the son, and I had planned to do some follow up research as this was new information for us! You have saved me the job!

Cormick McEntee & Ann Connolly of the townland of Mullantlavan baptised 3 sons in the RC parish of Magheracloone, Co. Monaghan
Patrick McEntee on 8-Apr-1850
Thomas McEntee in 1852 and
Matthew in 1855.
The family is misrecorded as McEnteer in the1832 Tithe Applotment records (see Owen McEntee).
Later, in Griffith's Valuation, this family is recorded as McAtee – where Cormack McAtee is recorded at farm #8 (Michael McAtee & wife Mary Conolly live nearby at farm #6 and invited Cormack to godparent their first child in 1837).
Two McEntee households endured here in the 1901 Census of "Mullanttovan" to include Cormack's son Matthew McEntee & Family.
Cormack survived his wife Ann (who died of cancer, age 55, in 1876). He died at home, age 82, in the presence of his son Matthew.

Hi again
I have tried to view the church records online at NLI
Unfortunately the writing is quite faint and hard to decipher which is a shame because i can see in Nov 1836 Hugh McEntee was sponsor to a child of ?Duffy so i can assume the records would be interesting and informative
Are they available anywhere else?
