Migrated to/Born in USA
Born about 1610. Probably Co. Cavan, but no proof. In 1634, he sailed to America in the Merchant ship Bonadventure, James Riccoste master, bound to Virginia, with his younger brother, Miles. They had taken the oath of Allegance.
It is believed that he went back somewhere between 1650 and 1655, to claim his father’s right to land as his father died. The name Garrett is found living in a 6 room house with a thatched roof in Kells, Co. Meath. We are not positive this is our Garrett as I have nit been able to locate any other documentation on him.
