I have a "Brickwall' regarding my Great Grandfather. On his DC it says he was born in Oxford yet two other sources refer to Liverpool. Also two relatives claim he came from County Down but none of these ideas are definite. I am asking for help. His parents were Richard and Caroline, presumably from Ireland. My Gedmatch is PP7906302. I am related to him via Herbert Fitzpatrick, his grandson.
I've written out his life story in NSW that I have reseached from the Sydney Sands Directory. I am seeking any male direct descendents to do a DNA test.
Henry Joseph Gregory Fitzpatrick
B 1818 ( from the DC aged 68 in 1886)
M 1842 ( from the DC aged 24 when married)

Life story
-
Henry was born in Oxford, England ( From the DC) in 1818
-
1846 Henry was in the County Murray ( near Queanbeyan) - from baptismal record of Richard in 1846 at the Molongolo River Queanbeyan where there were farms along the river inhabited by Irish families.
Henry’s children:
-

-
Maria Agnes b 1853,
-
Carolina b 1855 ( v1855201572), deceased

Caroline b 1855 ( v1855201572), deceased ( see DC)
From Carolines DC, we find she was born in Queanbeyan in 1855 .
From the Doctors report she may have been 9 months when she developed Hooping Cough. ( Whooping Cough ).
When Caroline dies, the family have moved to Sydney. This was a big move for Henry’s wife, Mary Ann Connelly as she has left behind her parents and her siblings ( with their families) in the Queenbeyan region. It is possible the health of the baby necessitated a visit to Sydney and then they decided to stay in the city.
