Hi. Looking for relatives;
We think the Tully clan descend from a town called Kill (Co Cavan) which was understood or misunderstood as coming from Kells, a town in Co Meath.
1. My mother was Bernadette Tully born 1934. Daughter of Alice Tully (nee Carney) and Matthew Tully. All born in UK
2. Tully and Carney families all came from Ireland in Co Gallway, maybe Kells
3. Edward Tully/Tulley (born Ormskirk, Lancs in June 1855) was the father of Matthew Tully as well as Mark, Luke, John plus maybe 8 other sons plus Rose the only girl and youngest. Became Rose Rimmer. Think all born in the UK. Think 2 sons went to Pennsylvania and died there. Edward married Mary Melia in Ormskirk in 1881.
4. Edward Tully/Tulley had a father, Hugh Tully who married Mary Moran in Ormskirk in 1853. All parents were Irish from that point backwards. We think that this Hugh Tully/Tulley came to England between 1851 and 1853.
