Migrated to/Born in USA
My paternal great-grandfather. Have attached grandfather's birth certificate (with ages of parents listed); 1900 US Census record , and burial record of James and wife Bridget (Faulkner). I'm unable to narrow my search for Parish because I cannot find emigration or immigration records, but believe they came to US in circa 1885. Surnames have focused my efforts in Counties Cavan and Monaghan, but so many James Clarkin (and Clerkin) that I don't know how to narrow my search. I knew my grandfather and his sisters, and believe the census record and birth certificate are accurate, but I cannot find immigration or passenger lists to help me. We've visited Ireland several times, most recently traveled to Cavan and Monaghan, and would very much enjoy the experience depicted in the promotional video. Thank you!
