John Bushell was born to Patrick Francis Bushell and Julia (Downey) Bushell in Ardfinnan. He emigrated to the U.S. With his family when he was 14 in 1849. He went on to marry Catherine Kelly in Philadelphia, PA. They had 11 children. Their daughter Julia Bushell was my Great Grandmother.
