Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in Australia

In 1840-1850 in Tulla, there were three families whose head was a Thomas Dwyer. There relationship is not clear but my relative was a butcher. Mrs Dwyer before her marriage was Bridget Roche. They had two children baptised in Tulla, John and his sister Mary. Mary became Mrs Hennessy. John Dwyer left Tulla around 1852 and came as a labourer to Melbourne. A year later, Susanna Looney also of Tulla came to Melbourne and in 1855, she and John Dwyer were married at the newly built St Francis' Church in the hear of the city of Melbourne.
