John Leary (1797- 1900) my paternal great grandfather, born in Ballynabloun
was married twice. He married Mary Moran circa 1844.They had 4 daughters
Mary (1845-1928) Mrs Wm Burke,Ellen (1852-1935) Mrs Sullivan,Bridget (1854-1935)
Mrs Tom Burke a brother of Mary's husband and Kate (1858-1908) Mrs McMahon.
All four sisters went to Norwich Connecticut. Mary Moran died young and John
remarried Mary Moriarty in Feb.1860.Together they had 7 sons, 6 went to Connecticut,
and Pats Leary was the only one to stay in Ballynabloun. John Leary according to family sources lived
to the ripe old age of 103 years I was unable to find a death cert for John. As well as being a farmer, John
also was a fisherman.
