Margaret McCully was my 2nd great-grandmother. She was the 3rd known child and 2nd daughter of James McCully (c1812-1880) and Margaret McCully (c1814-1897) who were probably related. There is no record of Margaret's birth but she was born in 1841 according to her age at death in April 1889.
Her younger siblings were baptised at the 1st Presbyterian Church at Newtownards, the oldest being Elizabeth who was born in November 1843. Margaret married William John McConnell (c1844-1920) at the First Presbyterian Church, Newtownards on 21 April 1865. They had only one known child after ten years of marriage - William Henry McConnell (1875-1954). Margaret died at the Newtownards Workhouse at the age of 47 on 19 April 1889.
