I believe Martin was born in 1803 in the Parish of Templemore to parents Joseph Keane and Bridget Lowry.
He married Alice Ryan in 1819 at Minto, Scotland at age 16 before he enlisted in the Military.
Sent to Canada in 1820 and returned in 1827.
Worked as a Carpenter possibly at Inch House before emigrating to Australia in 1841.
