His marriage certificate lists his father as Owen a cooper. In 1944 a Daniel Sullivan was baptised in Tulla. His parents were Owen and Kate McMahon. I do not know if this is the same family but would imagine there is a good chance.

Hi JennyM:
Yes, that is possible. I noted that the transcribed version of that entry refers to the son as Dennis. However, the writing in the registers is very poor, and it is possible that it could have been Daniel.
In Slater's Directory for Tulla in 1846, Owen Sullivan is noted as a cooper. The reference is below:

In addition, there is a John Sullivan listed at Griffith's Valuation in 1855 at Entry No. 25 & 26 at page 74 of the Parish of Tulla book for Griffith's. John and Owen were used interchangeably.

There continued to be Sullivans residing in Tulla in the 1901 Census and one of the Sullivan daughters was a School Teacher. I believe that the house that they resided in was just up the street from the Tulla Courthouse.

This family has a grave in Tulla.

There are other Sullivan graves on the website. If you have any questions, please let me know. The photo of Martin is great!!
All the best,
Jane.
