Mary Kelly Qualters Foley, born 15 August 1813. Father Thomas Kelly (1769-1827), and mother Mary Quinn (1768-1842).  Mary emigrated to Jones County, Iowa, USA.

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer in finding more information on my 2nd great grandmother.

    Marriage:  06 Feb 1837 - Borrisokane, Tipperary -  Thomas Foley & Mary Kelly - witnesses: Ed Browne & Cate Hogan

    Baptisms: 24 Feb 1838 - John Foley - Thomas Foley & Mary Kelly - sponsors: William Foley & Margaret Foley

                     28 Mar 1840 - Ann? Foley - Thomas Foley & Mary Kelly - sponsors: Pat? Foley & Ellen Lormille??

                     16 Apr 1842 - Catherine Foley - Thomas Foley & Mary Kelly - sponsors: Dan Kelly & B McNamara

                     16 Mar 1844 - Ed Foley - Thomas Foley & Mary Kelly - sponsors: John Foley & Margaret Foley

    There may be other baptisms after 1844, as I haven't researched beyond that date at this point - or they may have emigrated around that time. BTW William Foley later married a Catherine Carroll in Borrisokane and Dan Kelly married Bridget Carney (sp?) also in Borrisokane - both had several children born there.

My mother and I visited Borrisokane about ten years ago, and were unable to locate any information or grave stones in the short time we were able to visit.  Your information gives us other search opportunities to find Mary's people.
