Hi,
Thank you for the comment. You are correct, Leo is of the same D'arcy. I managed to get in touch with a distant Darcy relative who has spent over 20 years researching his family history and he was able to provide me with an almost complete Darcy family tree that goes back as far as the late 1700s. He informed me that there were a few D'arcys still living around Killusty and Leo was mentioned. I do hope to meet them all someday so thank you for your help in locating him.
I seem to have a really large family connection to Killusty. As the D'arcy tree is complete I decided to focus my research on the female lines within the family and I've uncovered the family names of Cantwell, Walsh, Ryan, Corr and McGuire which I'm hoping to find out more about.
Would you know if these names are still in or around the Killusty area?

Wow the house still stands! Thats even more incentive to go and visit Killusty, thank you for telling me.
I haven't come across Tinrush, is that a townsland on the mountain?
My grandmother grew up in the townsland of Boolagh and her Mum's family who were Corrs lived in the townsland of Cappadrummin which my grandmother always said was up the side of the mountain. I think the Ryan family records state the parish of Drangan and the townsland of Cloran.
