Mary and her six children came to the U.S. about 1840. They settled in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Little is known about their life before 1850. No husband has been found in the U.S., so he is presumed to have died in Ireland. Family has always believed they came from County Fermanagh and DNA done by one of her 3rd great grandsons matched with a McQuillan in Newtown Butler. Mary died in Dakota county, Minnesota, United States.
She is the great mystery of the family.
