Mary O'Hara, born 1833 Kiloe, Co Longford. Mary was sent to Australia as part of the Irish Famine Orphan scheme arriving NSW on the Digby 4 April 1849, she was sent from the Longford Workhouse, both parents listed as deceased on ships records.
Ships records report Mary was given bread & water for 3 days for stealing biscuits. Her religion was listed as R/C, a Bridget O'Hara was also on the same ship, her father still living so perhaps Mary & Bridget were cousins??
