  • My great grandmother was Bridget Phillips from Derrynabroch born about 1861. She married Martin Hannon in 1881 and moved to Kilfree, Sligo. Her father was Michael Phillips born 1830. Possible wife was Honor Connar. Any information would be so very helpful. Many thanks.

  • I am new to this research and only recently discovered that my great grandmother Bridget Phillips was from Mayo. According to Ancestry she came from Kilbeagh and her father was Michael Phillips born 1830. I have no further information as to her siblings. Ancestry claims her mother was Honor Connar. Bridget was born in 1861 and married Martin Hannon in 1881. They lived in Kilfree, Sligo and had 10 children, One of the children was my grandmother Catherine Hannon who emigrated to the US.  Bridget passed in 1940 in Carrowntemple, Sligo.

  • Hi, Another Michael Phillips here. My Grandfather, also Michael Phillips was born in the Tobercurry area/Sligo in 1903, and emigrated to NYC/USA, he had a younger sister named Bridget Phillips.

Their parents (my great-grandparents) were Patrick Phillips (born 1867, Aclare )and Mary (Stenson) Phillips.  My great-great-grandparents were Michael Phillips and Mary (Breheny) Phillips, whose children: were Patrick, John, Thomas, and Michael (born in 1875).  I believe my great-great-great grandfather was named Pat(t) Phillips
