Hello,

Coincidentally I am researching another Francis PHILBIN 1811-1880, born in Kilmore, who married a Mary MULROONEY in 1835 in Castleconnor. They had 4 sons Patrick c1837, John c1839, Thomas c1841 and Martin c1845 that I know about. Francis was convicted of stealing some heifers and transported to Australia. He then married another convict and they had 6 daughters (descendant of my husband).

Is there any chance you've come across my Francis and/or his family in your research?

I have stumbled across some Frank PHILBIN Castlebar records which may refer to your fellow including Ireland Poverty Relief Loan (1839), a dog licencee (1867&1884) and some court matters (1854&1867). Let me know if any of these are of interest.
