Susannah Delahunty (nee Mcgoldrick) : Short Biography

Susan, was born in 1844, poss Mayo, and emigrated to USA in 1885 along with 9 of her 13 (poss 14) children. She emigrated, shortly after the death of her husband Thomas in the same year, possibly, with the intention of joining her 2 sons already in the United States. She live the rest of her life in the Manhattan/hells kitchen area of New York until her death in 1915. All but 1 of her children emigrated to the USA, the exception being my great grandfather who remained in Ireland. Having met many of my American cousins, it became obvious to me that Susan must of had a great sense of family, as many of my distant cousins also have this, despite living in different areas of the USA.
