Thomas Armstrong as born about 1866 to John Armstrong (Shoemaker) and Honor Mitchell.
He Joined the Royal Irish Constabulary in 1896 First serving in CO Silgo, then a Detective in Belfast. Reached the rank of Sergeant and retired in 1915 due to a medical injury.
He owned land in Skiddernagh to the south of Manulla and was a dairy farmer till he died in 1939 leaving his wife, one son, and four daughters.
