I have O'Neill in my family tree from Valentia Island, Co. Kerry.
Have youtaken a DNA test?
Thomas and Ellen (Harold) O'Neill and their 4 children - Edward, Catherine, William and Ann came to Canada from County Kerry and settled in New Brunswick in 1845. Catherine, my Great-grandmother (born 1840) married James Earle.
About the same time, an Edward O'Neill and his wife Eleanor (Hickson) also came from County Kerry to a neighbouring parish in New Brunswick. It is thought that Thomas and Edward were brothers. Both were farmers.

I believe that my O'Neills are from the KIlcolman/Kilorglin area. They would have been Protestant.
Yes, I have had my DNA done.
Hello Joan.

I have had my DNA tested with Ancestry but don't know how to go about comparing it to find relationships.

Joan,
I suggest that you upload to GEDMatch.
1) GEDMatch is asite that consilidates DNA results from all sites and presents an overall comparison match.
2) As you are a member of Ancestry!!....log into the Ancestry site and select DNA - Matches.
A new window will open up with all the matchs to you.
3) have you a family tree?
