I tested my great Aunt's DNA and we are matching DNA to an Edward Crawford of Cloughy, County Down, Ireland. I find Edward on freehold list in the Irish archives as of 1815. His daughter Sarah Ann Crawford married a Hugh Dorian/Doran and immigrated in 1851 to New York city. In a letter for a will of her cousin, she gives her grandfather's name as Ned (nickname for Edward) and vouches for a Sarah Fitzsimmons will. Sarah was either Sarah Crawford or Sarah McGritton. She was raised by her mother's Aunts, and her mother's name was Margaret Crawford. Margaret's father was a brother to Edward.
