My husbands GG grandfather was William Ryan who was baptised 20 October 1844 in the Parish of Kilcolman Kings County. His parents were John Ryan and Ellen Quinlisk.
All I know of this family is that John Ryan and Ellen Quinlisk married in a Catholic Church in the parish of Dunkerrin Kings County on 8th February 1831 and witnessess to the marriage were John Meagher and John Cummins.
I have also found that William had 3 siblings. Marianne Ryan bapt 26th May 1833, Judith Ryan bapt 10 May 1935, William bapt 1837 and then our William Ryan baptised 1844. All these children were baptised in the Parish of Kilcolman.
OUr William Ryan came to Australia to live in the mid 1870's. He married Sarah Conway in Melbourne on 24th April 1878. I have all the descendants of this couple but trying to find more about the Ryan's bank in Ireland
