Coolderry National School was opened in 1888 and was in full time use until 1968/69 when a new prefabricated building was erected on a site donated by Coleman Carroll until a new central school was opened in 1984.
This was an amalgation of Ballyeigan N.S. and Coolderry N.S. and is now known as Coolderry Central N.S.
