    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I searched on Roots Ireland and Bridget had at least five siblings: Judy 1828 Patrick 1830 Michael 1836 John 1839 Fanny 1840 Her parents were married August 28, 1825 in Portarlington.

    Did Bridget emigrate?

  • I don't think she did as her sister Maria Moran's New York State will listed her as still in Marybone, Ireland in 1880s along with Fanny McCue Dunne, another sister.

I also was looking for information about her father Michael McKew as I was once told he died in Ireland in 1845.  His wife Mary Dunne McCue, son Michael and daughter Julia emigrated in 1852 or so.  I also could NOT find any info on a son named as Jeremiah McCue- he was named in Maria McCue Moran's will as her brother.

    Thanks for any help. Mary

Civil registration of deaths started in 1864. A few churches maintained death info but Portlaoise church did not. I searched on Roots Ireland for a Jeremiah McCue baptismal record with father Michael and no record came up.

I wonder if the Marybone in your message is actually Maryborough which is a town in Co. Laois.
