Hi, I am trying to track down my ancesters from County Offaly in Ireland. This is what I have so far:
Kieran Condron (my great great grandfather, DOB 1946 married Mary Couglan in 1874). They had 9 children:
James Condron (DOB 1877)
Bridget Condron (DOB 22.04.1879) emigrated to Massachusetts
Michael Condron (my great grandfather DOB 22.05.1877) - I've tracked all his descendants to Wales, UK
Kieran Condron (DOB 18.08.1883)
Thomas Condron (DOB 1884) May have emigrated to America
Elizabeth Condron (DOB 1887)
Ann Condron (DOB 1890)
Margaret Condron (DOB 1892)
Elizabeth (Eliza) Condron (DOB 1896) May have emigrated to America
If any of names ring a bell with you, please get in touch. I am a direct descendant of Kieran - I know very little about him except he appears to have never left Ireland and had a brother called Patrick.
Thank you.

Thank you so much Patricia, I haven't been able to get further than Kieran except that his father was Pat? Condron but had not been able to pin down his mother...
I have Kieran's DOB as 1846 (taken from his marriage certificate so I can understand why there is a years difference)
This is so helpful, thank you so much!

Hi Patricia, I had previously been able to find that, my road block was Kieran's and his wife Mary's parents, I'm so grateful for the information you've given me, it allows me to re-start my searches

One thing that I find unusual is that none of the Condron sons were named after the grandfathers. This was almost always done, with the first son being named after the paternal grandfather, the second son after the maternal grandfather.

Hi Patricia, I'm wondering if Kieran wasn't the oldest child. I have a family trace of a Patrick his brother?
