Looking for information about Edward Polan from Kings County. Edward immigrated to Canada before 1850. Edward was the son of Patrick Polan and Elizabeth Conroy. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

GPolan:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland in Co. Offaly (Kings Co.) and did not find a baptismal record for Edward Polan. I also did not find any Polan baptismal records with the parents you listed. I also did not find a marriage record.
The 1853 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing does show four Patrick Poland records in three different parishes but we do not know if your Patrick was still alive in 1853 or whether he was leasing land.
You may want to add Edward's story to our XO Chronicles and possibly someone will see a connection https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
Have you considered DNA testing?

I was interested in your query, because I have a great-grandfather who was born in Offaly. I know of no Polan[d] connection, but I looked at the FamilySearch site, and someone listed as R. Hogan has already created records for the Polan family which match the info you gave almost exactly, and add the name of Edward's wife, Mary Anne Quinn, and the names of her parents as well..
Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have any more info about the Offaly connection (he may be unaware of it, in fact), and most of what he has posted has to do with Edward and Mary Anne's children's births in Montreal, but you might want to contact him, since he may be a relative. If you want to contact him, the url for FamilySearch is: https://www.familysearch.org and Edward's unique identifier number is LVSC-632. Once you are at Edward's record, you can click on a link to send a private message to R. Hogan.
FamilySearch is the largest genealogical database in the world. It's run by the Mormon Church, but is free for everyone to use (you just have to create a free account, with no commitments to anything). New records are constantly being added at the site, and the site automatically posts links to records which may relate to people for whom personal records have been created (like the "leaf" function at Ancestry), which one can then review and use if relevant,
I noticed that there are a lot of Polan[d] records, including one for an Edward Poland in Parsonstown in County Offaly from around the right time, but with different parents.. Perhaps that Edward was a cousin of your Edward (both perhaps named for a grandfather of theirs - I notice from your name that the name Edward seems to run in your family). From what I can tell, there is no townland in Offaly named Parsonstwon, but there appears to be an area of the parish/town of Birr which is called Parsonstown. If you wanted to follow things up in that area, you can access the online Catholic parish records for Birr at this link: https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0763 The records go back to 1837, so you might be able to find something useful. Interestingly, part of my great-grandfather's famiily lived in Birr.
