CRUISE Helena 1849 30 Ballinasloe John / Matilda xx Both alive xx Ship = Inchinnan
The ship Inchinnin was used to transport Irish orphans to Australia but according to this entry , Helena's parents were alive at the time of her emigration and she is 30 years of age while the orphans were young teenagers transported under the Earl Grey scheme . This was a horrendous period in Irish history with the famine/workhouses/emigration and poor laws. Perhaps if you enquired in the Sydney Project on famine ships they may have the information you are seeking.
Interestingly I came upon a similar thread to your own which may be your family Cruise.

Hi Pat & Eileen, I am interested in surnames and also volunteer here, I live in Drogheda in Louth on the border in County Meath and there is a Cruicetown parish near Kells plus two other places of that name and a Cruicerath, while not any assistance to you it is interesting.and hope you think so, if you put Cruice as a search term in this site you will see where they are as it links to maps.

Also had a look in Roots Ireland and there were 3 different Cruice baptisms in Ballinasloe around that time so possiblly one was a sibling, unfortunately one had no mothers name just Mathilda which in itself is unusual. They are Dillon John Cruice 1827, Peter Cruice father and mother is Bridget Dillon; Anne 1829, father Dan Rich Cruice, mother Mary Kelly; Mary 1830, father John, Mother Bridget Craughan; finally Eyre Lynch Cruise (s not c) father John and mother Mathilda, year 1830. They are so much later they are unlikely to be siblings.
The reason we cannot find Helena is the church records for Ballinasloe only commence in 1820 for baptisms, see https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0324
There are also a good few Cruice born in Tuam, Galway just the name and spelling are unusual.
McLysaghts book of Irish surnames says Cruise or De Cruys in one on the oldest Norman Hiberno families mainly in Meath and Dublin so assume that is why we have Cruicetown.
Some extra info that I just find interesting.Regards

There are lots of Cruise records in Glaway parish records as it is easily confused with Crowe, my surname and I had to check most Cruise records too because of the handwriting! From my research there are a few in Cork but Galway seemd to be the home for the records?
