Seeking more information on a Ulick Lally. Ulick would have been my ggg-grandfather. The only documentation that I have found on Ulick Lally is in the documentation titled, "Sustainability Loan Fund" from 1821-1874. His name appears in the 1840s, Ulick seems to have been operating a farm and needing continued loans to keep it going. Bryan McTique and William Cusack are listed repeatedly as "first or second Guarantor". Ulick married Mary O'Malley and had at least one daughter named Mary Ann Lally (later Walsh). Although Ulick's daughter is said to be of Westport. I am trying to discover more about "Brocca" as it is written in the loan documents and am wondering where his farm might have been. Ideas and feedback is appreciated!

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
You posted in a parish in Co. Laois but I assume your interests would be in Co. Mayo. I'm wondering if your Brocca is Brockagh townland in Kilmaclasser civil parish which is not far from Westport. I do see a William Cusack in that parish in the Griffiths Valuation. https://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/mayo/kilmaclasser.php

Thanks Roger,
I was originally thinking this was the place, but finding nothing I supppose I started relooking and questioning. Previously you and I had spoke and I had asked a question. In my family bible it stated that my GG-grandmother Mary O'Malley (later, Ulick Lally's wife) was born in the half parish of Kilmeena. At the time, you had said that you were not guite certain what "half-parish" meant in this context. Maybe you have it now, but just in case... I did discover that Kilmaclasser is in fact the "half-parish" of Kilmeena referring to when it was split. Someone had shared with me that some locals may still call it that, or did.
I appreciate your feedback always. Thanks for steering me back around.
