Following on from some excellent information I have received from members on here I am able to add Stranorlar to my search area. I am after any information regarding James or Daniel Parke. James birth, death and marriage are unknown but I estimate his birth to be 1840. He is listed as a carpenter on his son Daniel's marriage certificate.
Daniel Parke 1861.
I have information on Daniel's life from about 1879 onwards however very limited information on him before that. I have information to suggest he could have been an orphan as he was assisted in a court case by Reverand John W Lindsay from Taughboyne on 1 February 1879. The Reverend Lindsay represented County Donegai Protestant Orphan Society
Daniel was indentured for a period of time as Carpenter's apprentice in St Johnston to a man by the name of Thomas McGirr.
According to his army enlistment papers (he has 2 sets) he gives his birth place as Taughboyne on one and Stranorlar on the other.
Any information or assistance greatly appreciated.

Alan:
I forgot to mention that Stranorlar C of I records start in 1802 and are available on Roots Ireland. So the search I made earlier would have covered Stranorlar records also so likely he was not baptized in Stranorlar. Also, there were no Parke records in the 1857 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Stranorlar.
Here are the James Parke records from the Griffiths.
