My great great grandfather William Brawley, born 1813 in County Armagh, married Mary Ellen Stone in Wexford in 1853. They immigrated to Canada. They had daughters Martha, Rachel, Eliza Mae, Jane, and Ann, plus a son Jack in Ontario, later moving to Saskatchewan. Several of my cousins and I have been looking for William Brawley's family in County Armagh, for years without luck. Tonight I had a breakthrough. While searching "Brawley" at www.cotyroneireland.com, I found the Killyman Confirmation records for 1840. Rachel Brawley born 1816, Martha Brawley born 1819, Susanna Brawley born 1821 and Charlotte Brawley born 1826, all of Derryhubbert Townland, County Armagh were contemporaries of my William Brawley, and may have been his sisters. The names Rachel and Martha seem to be a clue.
If anyone out there is studying this County Armagh Brawley family, please get in touch with me. I'm in Canada.

Searching for information on Neil Brawley. He was born in Ireland or Northern Ireland in 1751 and emigrated to Iredelle County, North Carolina, USA and died there in 1834. Not sure where in Ireland he comes from. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
