Hugh Hall Cochran(e) was my Great Great Grandfather wh was a Watch & Clock maker in Lurgan , Northern Ireland. He was born 1805 and died 1879  He married Margaret Belshaw. and had quite a big family.

Firstly I would love to find who were his parents. I can't find any trace of them, especially his mothers maiden nane. I have looked at every site I can think of.

Secondly I can't find when Hugh Hall and Margaret were married or where, again I have looked everywhere for this information. So can anyone help me ??

Also is there anyone reading this who is related to the Cochran(e)'s from Lurgan or are you a Belshaw who was related to Margaret Belshaw. I would love to hear from any of you.

  • I went to the Public Records Office today and looked at the microfilms for Lurgan.  The only reference to Hugh and Margaret was a typed list with baptisms for 1842 - their son Matthew born 6th January 1842 - I checked the records before and after and there was no other mention of Hugh or Margaret or any other children of theirs.  If I remember correctly the birth records started at 1837 so it's possible that Matthew was their last child and all others were born prior to 1837.  The marriage records started the same year.
