  • Hi Kate

The closest ( & only) record of birth/baptism of Francis Byrne in Cavan  on www.rootsireland.ie/ is 1837. Bawnboy is not mentioned in the list of parishes however.

It costs to view the full record but it will give you the parish and MAYBE his parents' names.

The Tithe Applotments 1823-37 (free online) have 2 Byrnes in Bawn Townland parish Killeshandra so I checked the rootsireland record to see if it might have been from Killeshandra but it wasn't.

This will give you their address at that time (1832)

I couldn't find a marruiage record of Francis & Mary in any county.

There are a lot of Mary McManus birth/baptism records in Cavan!

    No luck on ancestry unfortunately.
