I am researching the Buckley and Garvey families of Co Kilkenny.  Richard Buckley and Mary Garvey were the parents of James Buckley born 1848/9 in Co Kilkenny.  Having examined the Griffiths Valuation the only two neighbouring townlands that apply to both families are situated in the parish of Inistioge.  The Buckleys of Bohilla and Garveys of Dysartmoon.  If anyone has any information relating to any other possible parish connections please let me know.  Most grateful for any help Marianne

    There are 41 trees on Ancestry, most showing your James parents as Richard Buckley and Mary Garvey. He moved to Australia and died in 1905. His death record shows different parents?? Also on the trees, although his birth is identified with Kilkenny, Richard and Mary are from England??

  • I guess his marriage record identified those names
