Can anyone out there help me with this?
The McEvoy/McAvoy connection is starts with Michael McAvoy farmer born about 1798 (date a guess) County Queens (County Laois). Son Daniel McAvoy born about 1821 County Queens migrated to Saint Helens and then onto Rainhill, Lancashire, England before 1846 when he married Mary Ann McLoughin (born about 1826 County Leitrim) on the 21st October 1846.
I have attached a copy of the tree so do have a look.
All the best
