On behalf of a friend who plans to visit in 2015 I am searching McGRATH also. James McGRATH was convicted as a rebel and sent to Australia per 'Hercules' in 1802. He was probably born 1773 (5 years)+- In 1838 his son Denis arrived in Australia, native place Athy, born late 1790s. His wife Catherine GRACE b abt 1811 with children James bc 1828, Bridget bc 1831, Rosa bc 1835, Patrick bc 1836. It seems that James & Denis were a farm labourers, and his wife Catherine GRACE a dairy maid. I would love to find any connections with these families for my friend. My own convict came from Waterford. Anne Maye
