Hi. I'm hopeful that there might be an O'Brien in the parish that would be willing to help me explore my ancestors from the parish.

I believe I have fairly detailed information (relatively speaking) about where my O'Brien ancestors lived, were baptized, etc. I believe all of the family emigrated in the 1850's, but am hopeful that some of their relatives did not and may have some knowledge of this family branch.

Having someone from the area, hopefully with some personal interest (a fellow O'Brien), could prove really helpful.

Of course, I'm happy to provide lots of details, but the key information is that the famiy was Jeremiah Brien and Margaret Fitzpatrick of Straboe. There's only one Jeremiah in Griffins, and it appears they lived near Shaen castle (St. Brigid's Hospital).

I hope this isn't a crazy request. But I felt a bit inspired by the whole "reaching out" theme and thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thank you for any help,

David O'Brien
