I am interested in learning more about my grandmother’s family. Her family name was Carroll and I believe her mother was from Ballybrophy, Laois, Ireland. The information I have is that her grandfather’s name was Keyran Carroll. I do not have a name for his wife. I have also been told that Keyran Carroll and his wife had four children, Margaret, Mary, Roger and Bridget. Bridget Carroll (born in Ireland approximately 1856) married Joseph Delaney in Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken, NJ, USA in 1881.
Bridget Carroll Delaney and Joseph Delaney had four children born in Hoboken, NJ: Bridget (Delia) Delaney Connors; William Delaney; Mary Delaney Madden; Keyran Delaney.
My grandmother, Bridget Delaney Connors, spoke of visiting Queens County for an extended visit with her mother and her siblings when she was a child.
I would appreciate any information that you could give me concerning her family.

My name is Paul. What you can do is look up Church Records of the Carroll Family. Parish registers were collected and remain at a local level. Access to many of these parish registers usually come at a cost but more records are increasingly appearing online and some are even free. You should try going into some of the local churches in Ballybrophy and the surrounding area in order to find out more information about the Carroll family or try this website:
