What denomination were your ancestors? The RC (1763) and Church of Ireland (1756) records go back to the 1700s but only the RC records are on Roots Ireland.

Hi Roger,

I'm pretty sure they were Protestant, as they all married as such. Where I have a marriage. The uncle of my gt.grandfather was a John GEALE. I think his wife was Hannah who is on several records & must have survived him by some years in that case.Another name was OLDFIELD.
