I am researching Andrew Madigan, the son of Paul Madigan and Mary Dooly.
He was born c 1826 and was sentenced to 'transportation' and sent off to Tasmania, Australia.
Anyone that may have connections please contact me.

Hi,
Thanks for your message I hope that someone with connections contacts you.
Did you know that Catholic records for Knockainy begin as early as 1808?
This may be helpful for finding Paul and Mary?s parents.
Also the National Archives have a database where you can search for people who were transported. I did a quick search for Andrew and found this:
It may be an idea to contact Limerick City archives to see if they have any records available: http://www.limerickcity.ie/Archives/
Also, did you know that you can search some Irish newspaper archives online? You can search for free but you have to pay a small fee to view the article itself. You may be able to find some article about this manslaughter!
