Hi, Looking for any information on the RYan/Cunninham family of Patrick Wells, County Limerick.

Your site has already supplied me with the births of 3 children John, Thomas and Bridget ( 1823-1834)

with parents John Ryan and Anne Cunningham. Thomas and Bridget arrived in Australia in 1857. Bridget's husband Michael DALEY also came they were married in Ireland probably 1854-1856. John Jr stayed in Ireland I think.

We are having a family reunion at end of this year and I am writing a book for this.

Would like to know if there is a marriage for John RYAN and Anne CUNNINGHAM or if there are any other children born elsewhere in Limerick.

Anne father's name I think was John CUNNINGHAM I am unaware of John's parents

    I can only find one record of a John Ryan marrying a Cunningham, but her first name was Nancy...the marriage was in the parish of BALLYBRICKEN & BOHERMORE. John was recorded as being from Knockainey & Nancy from Knockroe. The date of the marriage was 06-Mar-1821. None of their parents names are recorded on RootsIreland. Does that sound like it could be them?

    I've attached a copy of the marriage record.

  • Hi Pat, Thanks for quick reply not sure if it is on the baptisms from Patrick Wells had the mother as Ann. Can Ann be used for Nancy as Sally is for Sarah or Jessie for Jean.

    Will have to investigate a bit more but thanks for your help much appreciated
