I'm looking for information relating to Robert Gerard Daly b. 1808 C. Meath, d. 1903 NSW Aus. I have little to no information on him prior to emigration to Australia c.1840. Also, his parents Garrat Daly and Franci(e)s Flood.
Robert worked alongside a Lord Plunkett from Roscommon and accompanied him to America/Canada through military service. A search for a Lord Plunkett is like a needle in a haystack.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sarah,
There is a record of the baptism/birth of Robert Daly in 1813 with mother Frances Flood but father's name not Garratt; parish is Kilskyre R C. There is also a record of Frances Flood born 1789.
There is 1 of Nicholas Daly born 1776 in Meath; that's the closest to 1778 which the ancestry trees have for Garratt.
The Tithe Applotments are free to search and have 6 Dalys in Meath in Kilskier in 1830.
Griffiths Valuation (also free to search) has 265 Dalys in Meath with 15 in Kilskeer.
The Irish phone book has 120 Dalys in Meath with 17 in Kells so maybe 17 letters might just find someone who knows your ancestors.
