Hi I was wondering if you could help me in tracing Alice, she was born in Parsonstown 1885. I have a bmd film no  101060, but no image is available. She is my great grandmother, we have her story after marriage to Benjamin Eades but I would love to able to put the final piece to the puzzle!

I have information passed down from her daughter that she came from a'well to do' family. She ran off with Benjamin ( a groom at Birr Castle) and married him at 19 in the registrar's office in Birr on 21st Oct. 1904. Her father was named as George Randall Hamilton a Grocer, We have been told that the shop was in Connaught St. Al;ice's adrdress on the marriage certificate was given as Derrinsalla. The family disapproved of the relationship, possibily, cutting her off.

Alice's mother died when she was very young and she went to live with her Aunt Liz and Uncle William Bulphin at Corrigeen. I have found an Elizabeth Randall Hamilton married to a Thomas Bulfin, son William. The name Bunrevan House also has a link with the family story.

The only George Randall Hamilton I could find, was a marriage in 1884, Rathdown to Alice Cuolahan. I don't know if this could be Alice's father. We think she may, have lied regarding her fathers' name.  George became an acoholic after the death of his wife and ended up in a home for inebriates!

We beleive she had two sisters who went to America and possibly a brother.

I would be very grateful with any help you may be able to give me as I have come to a dead end with my search and obsession!
