Hi I am trying to trace James Hamilton's father who, I think may have been called William born around 1780 and that he lived in Clonreher.
James was married to Mary Anne Randall in September 28th 1842 at St Micheal the Archangel Dublin. I have information provided by a family member that he was a cousin of John Lyster.
Dispite lots of research I haven't had much luck and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks
Carol

Hi, me again, more info.
James Hamilton.....on his death record it says, died in the presence of Mary his daughter, Parsonstown.
If you look at the begining of the record it's a bit of a squiggle but it says Derrinsallow.
This is in County Tipperary..........see the map link
https://www.townlands.ie/tipperary/lower-ormond/dorrha/riverstown/derrinsallow/
You can see the border line between Tipperary and Offaly. (click on the - to zoom out 4 times, you will see a town Borrisokane, that's where I am from)
1901 the Mary who was present at the death. Here the spelling is different Derrinsalla

To find more info use this for BDM from 1864

Dear Margot,
Thank you very much for this information, it has been very useful.
I have been able to confirm the link between the Hamilton's and Lysters.
James's sister Mary was married to Phillip Lyster and through Ancestry DNA I have been able to make a proven link, unfortunately nobody has any information on the line of Hamiltons, they descend from!
Thanks again for all your help.
Best Wishes
Carol
