Delahunty and O Connors
Looking for information in county Offaly in Leinster. I believe that my ancesters arrived late 1848 or 1849. Appear on the 1850 New York census. Naturalization papers dated 12 June 1854 under the name Dolanty (this is incorrect) state John arrived 5 years earlier. I assume he was part of the Famine immigration. Listed on New York census as John Delahunty in 1850 born abt 1818, John Delahanty born abt 1820 in 1880. Wife listed as Hanora O Connor born abt 1825 and also as Mary Hannora O'Connor.

RC church records for that parish start in 1830 which appears to be too late.
I did check the Tithe Applotment listings for Aghancon parish and located a John Delahunty living in Lissanierin townland who was leasing 15 acres of land. Possibly he is the father of the John who came to New York or is somehow related. see link below
